How does it feel when in time of distress someone tells you he understands what you are going through and that he is going to be there for you? Of course, you will have a sense of relief that at least, there is someone who cares and that you are not alone.

Life no doubt comes with many problems, so there is the need to have someone who understands and shows compassion in the time of need . But many times human beings do fail us, but there is someone who never fails, and that is God. So, how do I know that you are not alone ? I know because God who is the creator of all things cares for you, He created you and understands your needs. This God is compassionate, full of mercy and has made provisions for both spiritual and physical needs of every man (Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 6:4)

You may say if God is so good, why do I have so many problems? Wait there! Sorrows and pains are consequences of human depravity and personal sins including adultery, drunkenness, fornication, blasphemy, lying rebelliousness, hatred, idolatry, jealousy love of pleasure, worldliness ( Genesis 6:5-7, Romans 3:23). God’s solution to sin is Jesus Christ His Son who was crucified and offered as the only sacrifice acceptable to God (Romans 5:8) Jesus Christ is the atonement for our sin; nothing else is acceptable to God (Romans 5:9). The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). Since Jesus Christ has appeased God through his death, then man is able to make peace with God who is angry with unrepentant sinner everyday (Ephesians 2.14). Therefore, forsake your sins today; make peace with God through salvation in Jesus Christ, for if you will confess and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved ( Romans 10:9-11).  His blood cleanses you from all your sins (Hebrews 13.12)

To be saved, you need to personally talk to God, tell Him you are a sinner and that you are very sorry for all your sins (Luke 18:10-14). Confess your sins to Him one by one, repent and tell him you believe in His Son Jesus Christ. Promise God you will not go back to your sins and pray to Him to fill you with His Spirit.

If you will truly pray to God to be saved today, He will answer you; you are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ who will wash all your sins away (Ephesians 2:8), you should begin to experience peace and Joy without measure in the time of distress (John 15:11). To grow in your newfound faith, you will need to join a living church, read your Bible, pray to God, fellowship with the fellow believer, serve God and testify about your salvation experience (Acts 2:46 5:420. You now have a new family, other Christians are your family members, and you will find total fulfillment in their midst

Welcome to the household of God Hebrews 12: 18-240!

You are victorious in Jesus name; heaven is secured for You
